MĀN has been manufacturing transmission
line towers, sub station structures, railway electrification
structures, irrigation and Intake gates, high altitude
collapsible huts, tubular structures and other allied light
steel structures since 1960.
MĀN has a work force of skilled, trained and experienced persons
right from the level of workers, operators, fitters,
supervisors, engineers upto managers having 10 years to 30 years
experience to look after the manufacturing activities.
Manufacturing has been divided into 3 groups: fabrication,
bending and galvanizing. MĀN is equipped with 3 fabrication
shops and 3 galvanising plants.
Fabrication is taken out using modern technology with combined
multi-item templates, bending dies, jigs and fixtures which can
be reused in case of repeat orders. Separate gangs operate for
small quantity and proto items to meet the completion targets.
The first piece of each lot of template is duly inspected by the
Supervisors and signed to ensure accurate and quality
manufacturing.
Adequate overhead and ground handling facilities are provided by
crane, truck and trolley. In the combination of various jobs the
material flows linearly as well as in U-share with the raw
material yard and finished material yard at two ends.
Combinations of machines of various capacities have been
installed to enable to handle maximum number of items of various
sections at any time, giving stress on higher productivity to
keep cost at the lowest level.
Manufacturing process follows a strict system of defined cycle
period for combination of various operations following FIFO
system thereby targeting both tonnage and completion with
desired procedure and planning.
The quality is controlled both by sample check during process,
and, then at the end of completion with 100% inspection. |
